Tracking a major storm with snow and wind as it continues to move across New Hampshire. It will still be snowing through early Wednesday. Following behind the system is some quieter weather toward the end of the week.
Snowfall rates will continue at over 1 inch per hour at times. Winds will ramp up at the coast, with gusts over 40 MPH possible. While major coastal flooding is not expected, some splash over and minor beach erosion is possible around the late afternoon high tide. The combination of heavier, wet snow and gusty winds will lead to an elevated risk of power outages.
Snow totals will be highest in the higher elevations of Hillsborough County into the Monadnock Region, where over a foot of snow has already fallen and an additional 4-8"+ is possible through Wednesday morning. A general 6-12" is expected elsewhere, with somewhat lower totals along the immediate coastline, and northwest of the White Mountains.
Snow will wane in intensity as the storm starts to pull away early late Tuesday night and Wednesday.
A more pleasant stretch of weather will take us through Thursday with partial sunshine and highs in the 40s.
There is a chance of passing rain showers late Friday and into Saturday.
