The Walker Activity Dome in Newcastle is set to host a unique professional wrestling event, as the American company IMPACT make their return to the UK.

It is IMPACT's first trip to the area for eight years, with the expected 1,500-strong crowd providing the leisure centre with a financial boost.

The spectacle will be taking place on Friday, October 27, with a start time of 7pm, and tickets are on sale now on the IMPACT Wrestling website. Titanium Ticket Packages are available, giving fans the opportunity for a meet and greet with some of the stars of the company.

Speaking of the wrestlers who will be at the show, the IMPACT roster is made up of some former WWE talent that some wrestling fans may have heard of, including Tommy Dreamer, Rhyno and Trinity. There will also be some homegrown competitors taking part, with Joe Hendry from Edinburgh and the team Subculture made up of Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster from Cardiff and Dani Luna from Croydon.

IMPACT Wrestling president Scott D'Amore, who has been promoting the UK shows said: "We are all so excited to come back to the UK with these action-packed shows.

"The British fans have always been among our most loyal and passionate supporters and have been yearning for IMPACT’s return for many years now. What makes this tour even more special is that there are many stars on the IMPACT roster who these wonderful fans will now have the chance to see live and in-person for the first time ever."

Gary Hays, general manager at the Walker Activity Dome, has spoken about the event and how important nights like this one are to the success of a venue like the Dome.

"It is really exciting for us to be working with a global brand like IMPACT Wrestling, and this event gives the local people of Walker a chance to watch something in their immediate area, without having to go to the Arena or the NX," he said.

"We held our first wrestling event here a couple of months ago, with around 750 fans coming to see a much smaller British promotion put on a great show. For this event we are expecting double that, with 1,500 people slated to be in the venue."
